Behind the Scenes – Gear Handling and Machining
Like the previous post, this is also one of the robotic rig we worked on. But unlike the previous project, the objective of this multi axis robot was different altogether. Hence the logic to build this rig was unique as well. The robot arm acts as pick and place feeder to the gear machining unit, which has some similarities to a project which we had worked on before.
The Robotic arm as well as the conveyor assembly work in unison . The measurements were brought almost to the level of simulation, so much so that the clients had the freedom to take decision based on the animation. Change made to their equipment in 3D could easily be understood, reviewed, corrected and implemented in real life.
